Elizabeth Reaser was born and was raised in Michigan, United States. She is an American television and film actor. Elizabeth was born in and grew up in Michigan. Since she was a child, she wanted to be an actor. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in drama at the Juilliard School. She graduated with a master's degree in Fine Arts. She made her full-fledged TV debut with a guest appearance in the cult show, The Sopranos, and then starred in a number of popular shows like The Jury, Hack, and Standoff. In 2006, she had a major career break as the role of Alice Alden was offered to her on the television show Saved. She then appeared on Greys Anatomy, The Good Wife as well as True Detective. She has also appeared in films like Liberal Arts One and Two as well as the five episodes in The Twilight Saga.

Jessica was interested in the world of film and television at a very young age. Jessica first began modeling. In Australia the casting director sought out models to be interviewed. She was cast as "Kiki" from the film Lightning Point/Alien surf Girls. Since then, her small role on Peter Pan and Aquamarine has been seen. She was the lead character in Cleopatra during the 2nd season of the Netflix original series, Roman Empire. Also, she appeared in the cult-classic film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Jessica took home the world hunt to find Talon in The Outpost. Producers were given a sample tape of her acting as well as another one where she did MMA. The producers wondered if she was able to do sword fighting, and the next day she uploaded a video of the sword fight she was doing. After reading the script, Jessica realized that her role would require weapons training, and recorded her first class with an experienced instructor. According to Jonathan Glassner, the stunt team was surprised at the level of training she received for her first lesson. This was Jessica's first US-based principal film part, as previous films were made in Australia. Jessica can embody her strong female role thanks to her love of action, mixed martial arts abilities as well as her horse riding, weapon and firearms abilities, in addition to her athletic skills. In Australia she learnt muay Thai as well as boxing. Jake Stormoen came across a wandering dog while filming Season 4. The puppy had taken up residence on one of the set. Jessica accepted two pups.
